ZACOPH being a local Chapter of the East, Central and Southern African College of Physicians (ECSACOP) is contributing immensely to the building of the much needed Human Resources for Health (HRH) through training in the country and region.

ECSACOP whose membership is drawn from Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, aims to improve access to well-trained physicians across the region by establishing a network of dedicated training centers and implementing an internationally recognized postgraduate medical qualification.

ZACOPH rolled out the multi country training programme in 2018 and is now responsible for the delivery of the ECSACOP training programme in Zambia at four sites in three provincial capitals namely, Lusaka, Ndola and Livingstone

In addition to delivering the ECSACOP training, ZACOPH participates in the STP training programme under the Ministry of Health and the postgraduate training in internal medicine under the University of Zambia's School of Medicine.
