Careers and Training
ZACOPH being a local Chapter of the East, Central and Southern African College of Physicians (ECSACOP) is contributing immensely to the building of the much needed Human Resources for Health (HRH) through training in the country and region.
ECSACOP whose membership is drawn from Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, aims to improve access to well-trained physicians across the region by establishing a network of dedicated training centers and implementing an internationally recognized postgraduate medical qualification.
ZACOPH rolled out the multi country training programme in 2018 and is now responsible for the delivery of the ECSACOP training programme in Zambia at four sites in three provincial capitals namely, Lusaka, Ndola and Livingstone
In addition to delivering the ECSACOP training, ZACOPH participates in the STP training programme under the Ministry of Health and the postgraduate training in internal medicine under the University of Zambia's School of Medicine.

University of Zambia School of Medicine 2022 White Coat and Prize Award Ceremony
On 23rd September 2022, ZACOPH was represented by Dr Kondwelani Mateyo at the UNZA School of Medicine white coat and prize award ceremony where he presented awards to the best 5th, 6th and final year medical students in Internal medicine

Trainer of Trainer Workshop 2022
A ToT workshop for clinical supervisors was held in Malawi from 20th to 21st September 2022. With logisitical support from ZACOPH nine doctors from Zambia participated in the training.
Zambia College of Medicine and Surgery (ZAMCOMS) Internal Medicine Graduation 2022
Fourteen trainees in Internal Medicine graduated as part of the first cohort under the Zambia College of Medicine and Surgery (ZAMCOMS). The graduation ceremony was held on the 20th October at Levy Mwanawasa Medical University Lusaka.
Clinical Supervisors Refresher Programme

Harare, Zimbabwe
A 2-day 'refresher' programme for active Clinical Supervisors from Zambia and Zimbabwe was held in Harare Zimbabwe from the 31st January to 1st February 2020.
The main objective of the workshop was to equip Clinical Supervisors with a renewed understanding of the ECSACOP curriculum, assessment methods (including the exams scheduled for July 2020) and supervision requirements.
The workshop was held alongside the first ECSACOP Council meeting for 2020.
ECSACOP Fellowship Appliction
